Ensuring more “wonderful times” for Avon Youth Club

Bristol Brunel Lions are again pleased to be supporting Avon Youth Club. Trustee Steve Price (on the left) was more than happy to receive a cheque for £500.00 from Lion Duncan White, a past Trustee of Avon Youth Club, when he attended Bristol Brunel Lions annual Charter Anniversary held at The Aztec Hotel.

Steve’s association with Avon Youth Club goes all the way back to when he attended as a young lad, he is reluctant to say how many years ago that was! However he says that they were wonderful times and he is very happy to be part of a team providing wonderful times for those youngsters attending now.

Avon Youth Club provides a safe and engaging environment for local youngsters. Steve shared how the club keeps young people off the streets in the evenings and provides them with experiences they would not otherwise have. For example paddle boarding and dry slope skiing among a whole range of other activities. The space, support and opportunities provided by the club really do inspire these children and young adults to pursue a wide and varied range of interests, and inspire more diverse career choices.

Bristol Brunel Lions Club have been supporting Avon Youth Club for several years both financially and physically and will be once again very soon with the clubs ‘Pig Racing’ game during the half term break.
