Holiday hunger

After hearing that Food Banks were experiencing a surge in demand during the school holidays, Bristol Brunel Lions responded immediately by making a donation to our local Food Bank. President Julia met North Bristol Food Bank manager Matt in the food storage cupboard to present him with a cheque.

Matt explained how the Lions donation will provide five local families with some essential items for the school holiday period when many families whose children normally receive free school meals, find it difficult to provide an extra meal each day.
