WESTBURY-On-TRYM CHRISTMAS FAYRE
Post writer of the year Bill writes –
Father Christmas aboard Snowflake and all his Elves (Bristol Brunel Lions) were in Westbury-on-Trym at the Christmas Fair yesterday. What a great event to get everyone in the mood for Christmas. Father Christmas said hello to hundreds of children, having his picture taken with them and ensuring he had all their addresses for the big day.
For the first time in their history the Flying Frogs came out in Winter, proving to be as popular as ever with children of all ages, the eldest being 79 who actually won a prize for landing a frog on a Lily Pad! The action was fast and furious with the Elves concerned that they would run out of prizes, however the rain came and whilst the frogs enjoyed it the people went home!
The organisers are to be congratulated for putting together a fantastic days entertainment for the local community and Bristol Brunel Lions Club will definitely be attending next year.
