President Tom’s July Blog
Lion President Tom writes – It is a great feeling having come through my first meeting unscathed! Thank you to all those who made Handover such a success. I have written to the Aztec Hotel to record our thanks and appreciation.
There is a lot to look forward to and I would like to draw your attention to two dates. These are a Social and Information evening to be held at BAWA on the 10th September. The second is the 4th October. In line with our International project to plant 100,00,000 tress ‘world wide’ we will be linking up with a local school to ‘Plant Trees’. Lion Charlotte Lesley MP will be in attendance on an occasion that ‘ticks all the boxes’. This is a great opportunity to help the environment and to put ourselves in the spotlight and attract some well deserved publicity. Thanks to Lions Bill and Julia for the help with the organisation. Watch out for more details but in the meantime please note the dates!
I will be inviting representatives from my two adopted charities – see our Projects page – to our forthcoming Charter Night.
