An Evening at the ‘Spoon & Pudding’
Lion President Robin of Bradley Stoke Branch writes – Last night we hosted our now famous Pudding Night at Lion Ailsa and my home. Visitors from our parent club, Bristol Brunel and District guests Lions Tony Buckham and Colin Duncan attended all bringing a puddings.
The evening started with a short business meeting – the ice-cream was melting – and this was concluded with the presentation to Jessica Monks of a Young Leader in Service award that recognised well over 100 hours voluntary service at a local hospital. Congratulations Jessica and thank you for bringing mum Debbie along.
The official bit over, the vast collection of puddings, cakes, ice cream and high cholesterol food was consumed with enthusiasm and pleasure. A social evening with friends is an important part in the life of a Lions club. It’s not all about raising money.
