New Beginnings? We Hope So.

President Kate writes – Last Wednesday, 22nd May, we held an open meeting at the Alma Tavern pub so that people in their 20s and 30s could find out more about how they might help to form a new branch club with the hope that they would soon become a full club.  In a relaxed atmosphere thoughts and ideas were expressed and a willingness to explore the development of a new branch soon became  evident.

This was a most encouraging start and our thanks must go to all those who attended and in particular to Lion Mike Collen from Fleet Lions Club who gave the meeting the benefit of his experience.

From little acorns grow giant oaks.  The seed has been planted.  I hope that we will all give our help and support to Jonathan T and all those who attended in their efforts to form a branch club.  Exciting times!
